A writing app with Genie built in
Stop pasting drafts into a chatbot. Fix them where you write.
Select a passage and ask Genie for it shorter, clearer or warmer. The edit appears in your document, which saves as you type and syncs across your devices.
Why Write
Six steps down to one.
Genie sees the document and what you’ve selected, and makes the change in place. One step instead of six.
- Copy the paragraph
- Paste it into a chatbot
- Explain what the document is
- Copy the answer
- Paste it back
- Fix the formatting
- Select it and ask
The rest
Everything else, kept simple.
Saves as you type
No save button, no lost paragraphs.
On every device
Documents follow your account. If two devices disagree, you choose which version to keep.
Markdown underneath
Paste Markdown and it becomes formatting. Your words are stored as plain Markdown, so nothing is locked in.
The essentials, one click away
Headings, lists, links, bold and italic. Nothing you have to learn.
You can’t share documents or write with others yet. Write is for your own drafts today.
Questions
Before you write a word
How is this different from asking a chatbot?
Genie sees the document you’re in and the text you’ve selected, and it makes the change in the draft itself. You never paste anything anywhere.
Does Genie change things without asking?
Genie edits when you ask it to, and you see every change land in the page. Keep writing over it or ask for another pass.
Can I share a document or write with someone else?
Not yet. Write is for your own drafts today; sharing and collaboration are not available.
Can I get my writing out?
Yes. Documents are stored as Markdown, which every other writing tool understands.
